What you will learn

The Master's degree International Business & Leadership is the right choice for you if you are interested in leadership positions in international companies. With our innovative study concept we develop your competencies relevant to your profession and teach you the key areas of innovative personnel and corporate management.

 

The curriculum covers the following topics:

1st Semester - Leadership Skills

In the first semester you will develop your leadership skills according to the innovative, competence-oriented teaching and learning concept CORE (Competence Oriented Research and Education) in line with the needs of the job market. The focus lies on opening upunderstanding economic challenges of companies in the context of global trends, identifying future markets and their opportunities, and developing business models. In addition, you will practice to understandunderstanding the importance of management actions in line with corporate culture and develop as well as apply the relevant competencies.

2nd Semester - Application of Leadership Tasks

In the second semester, your developed leadership competencies will be applied in the context of specific leadership tasks. In particular, various topics will be addressed in which managers are particularly challenged. For instance, in strategic human resource management it is a key challenge to search forfind, develop and retain talents. In addition, new working models will be designed; teams and their performance will be developed, while taking cultural and ethical aspects into account when managing employees. The contents of the modules are applied in the creation of concepts. The development of your personal and social competences will be promoted in the module Contracting & Negotiation, which particularly reflects the intercultural context. Finally, in Academic Paper Design & Writing you will develop your competences in scientific methods and thus academic thinking.

3rd Semester - Going International

Do you want to get to know other countries better? During the third semester, you will either be able to apply your knowledge in practice while doing an internship abroad or improve your intercultural knowledge during a semester abroad at one of our partner universities.

4th Semester - In-Depth Experience

The last semester will be introduced with the online research module Analysing International Management. Afterwards you will write your Master's thesis, which is ideally linked to a central question from operational practice.

Admission requirements
Our requirements

These are the necessary requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognised university 
  • Do you have a management-related Bachelor's degree?  3.5-year Bachelor's degree (210 ECTS) OR 3-year Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) + management-related work experience of at least 12 months
  • Do you have a non-management related Bachelor's degree? 3.5 year Bachelor's degree (210 ECTS) + management related work experience of at least 6 months OR 3 year Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) + management related work experience of at least 18 months
  • Proof of good to very good English language skills. We accept TOEFL, IELTS; TOEIC, CAE, CPE, Duolingo Certificate 95, TOEFL - Special Home Edition 87 ibt, IELTS Indicator 6.5 average or similar or proof that English was the language of instruction during your studies at your previous university/school. Fees and Funding
Your tuition fees

The tuition fees are as follows:

  • € 680 per month for EU/EEA students (incl. Western Balkan, Switzerland)
  • € 5,400 per semester for non-EU/non-EEA students
  • The amount is fixed for the entire period of study study period.
  • In addition, an enrolment fee of €500 for EU/EEA students (€900 for non-EU/non-EEA students) is due at the beginning of the course.

UPDATE | New conditions for applicants with Indian citizenship who are submitting their applications on or after 1 June 2021 (CEST): payment of tuition fees one year in advance.

Application process and deadlines

We are happy to welcome you to our university. This is our application process:

  1. You submit your online application via the SRH Application Portal
  2. If you meet the admission requirements, we will invite you to a personal/phone interview
  3. If the interview is successful, you will receive the acceptance letter and the study contract
  4. You sign the study contract and send it back to us
  5. You pay the enrolment fee (all students) and – if you are a Non-EU/Non-EEA student – the 3-month deposit
  6. You receive your letter of admission
  7. You take part in our Oorientation Wweek and then you are good to go.
