Hospitality Marketing, Travel Management...

In the English-taught Master's programme Hospitality Management & Leadership you will deal with all areas of the service sector. You will gain detailed insights into the tourism sector as well as the hotel and gastronomy industry. Additionally, you will receive further education in the economic sector, which will qualify you for an international management career. Furthermore, you will develop both your leadership qualities and industry-specific knowledge in special corporate functions in the hospitality industry - such as in finance or human resources.

You also get to choose between:

  • 2-year option (120 ECTS)
  • 1-year option (60 ECTS)

Internship abroad in Switzerland

Students of the Dresden School of Managemenrt can also complete an internship in a Swiss hotel. As one of two German universities, we are a network school of  HotellerieSuisse, the association of the Swiss lodging industry, and this is a prerequisite.

Admission requirements

Our requirements

For the Master's programme "Hospitality Management & Leadership" you need to have a passion for the hospitality industry, social skills and the following:

Requirements 2-year option (120 ECTS)

University degree, e.g.

  • min. 3-year Bachelor's degree in hotel/hospitality management (if you do not have the degree certificate yet, you can also submit it before you start your studies)
  • min. 3-year Bachelor's degree in business + min. 6 months of relevant work experience in hotel/hospitality management OR
  • min. 3-year Bachelor's degree in another area + min. 12 months of relevant work experience in hotel/hospitality management

Requirements 1-year option (60 ECTS)

University degree, e.g.

  • 4-year Bachelor's degree in hotel/hospitality management (if you do not have the degree certificate yet, you can also submit it before you start your studies) OR
  • 4-year Bachelor's degree in business + min. 6 months of relevant work experience in hotel/hospitality management OR
  • 4-year Bachelor's degree in another area + min. 12 months of relevant work experience in hotel/hospitality management

Fees and Funding

Your tuition fees

Your studies at the Dresden School of Management are a valuable investment in your future. As our student, you will benefit from small study groups, individual support and practice-oriented courses. Thus, you will be well prepared for a successful career in management. 

The tuition fees are as follows:

Citizenship | EU/EEA (incl. Switzerland, Western Balkans and Ukraine)

  • 1-year version (2 semesters; 60 ECTS) | EUR 790 / month
  • 2-year version (4 semesters; 120 ECTS) | EUR 690 / month

Citizenship | Non-EU/EEA

  • 1-year version (2 semesters; 60 ECTS) | EUR 6,450 / semester
  • 2-year version (4 semesters; 120 ECTS) | EUR 5,500 / semester

The amount is fixed for the entire study period.

In addition, an enrolment fee of €750 for EU/EEA students (€1,000 for non-EU/non-EEA students) is due at the beginning of the course.

Application process and deadlines

This is our application process:

  1. You submit your online application via the SRH Application Portal
  2. If you meet the admission requirements, we will invite you to a personal/phone interview
  3. If the interview is successful, you will receive a confirmation and the study contract
  4. You sign the study contract and send it back to us
  5. You pay the enrolment fee 
  6. You receive your letter of admission
  7. You take part in our Orientation Week and then you are good to go.
