Company representatives present the Berlin start-up and its success story to the English-speaking students of "International Hotel Management".
Making travel unforgettable - that is the goal of the successful online booking portal for travel activities GetyourGuide. On the 24th of June, we welcomed two company representatives, Maren Schullerus and Ulrike Klödsch, to the Campus in Dresden. Both work as destination managers. At the invitation of Prof. Vanessa Borkmann, they presented GetYourGuide and its incredible success story to the students in the English-language course "International Hotel Management".
In the module "Destination & Tourism Marketing", the students were familiarised with the company’s concepts, philosophies, and products. The students then had the opportunity to slip into the role of a destination manager themselves and research and design new activities for different regions in Germany. Afterwards, they presented their ideas to the two company representatives and Prof. Borkmann, who then gave tips and suggestions for further research.
Finally, the two destination managers chatted about career options, data-based marketing and the new stylish office in Berlin. Of course, they also answered the many curious questions of the students, who once again received a great practical insight and valuable company contacts.
