The University of the South Pacific becomes exotic university partner of DSM

It is the most distant partner university, which was accepted into the partner network of the Dresden School of Management at the beginning of June 2022.

It is the most distant partner university, which was accepted into the partner network of the Dresden School of Management at the beginning of June 2022. In future, students from Dresden will also be able to spend a semester at the University of the South Pacific, located 16,000 km away on the main island of Fiji in the South Pacific. There they can study tourism and hotel management. "Hospitality and tourism are global topics, so the perspective should also be wide and open. Therefore, I am very pleased that we are able to make this impressive offer and that we can integrate students from the South Pacific in our German- or English-taught programmes and transfer students from Dresden to the English-taught programmes in Fiji. For such an exotic partner university, exchange planning needs a long lead time, so I am glad that we also already have the first interested student who will study in the South Pacific in the summer of 2023," says a delighted Prof. Dr. Hartwig Bohne, head of the degree programme, who initiated the cooperation.
